IT Architect

As an IT Architect, you help determine the direction Korton takes with the Microsoft infrastructure of all our customers. Working from the platform team at a strategic and tactical level, you advise management and customer teams and support those advices with architecture. A role for an architect who takes ownership and approaches Korton's services as if it were their own company.

• Design and monitor the architecture of the Korton platform, focusing on Microsoft 365, Azure, hybrid cloud, workplace, and network

• Translate Korton's course into architectural principles, standards, and a technical roadmap

• Incorporate security from the start into every design, based on Zero Trust and using Microsoft solutions such as Entra ID, Defender, and Purview

• Contribute to the AI platform that Korton is currently setting up from an architectural perspective, ensuring it connects securely and manageably to the existing platform, and think along about how AI can be deployed more broadly within the organization

• Advise management, sales, and customer teams on technological choices, supported by architecture, risks, and costs

• Test customer team designs and monitor that they align with the standards

• Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation of the services and develop them into a concrete proposal

• Take charge of direction and quality control during larger implementations and guide the transfer to customer teams from your role

• Follow new developments and bring colleagues and customers along with changes

• Position: IT Architect, also known as infrastructure architect or cloud architect

• Location: Nieuw-Vennep (Haarlemmermeer, near Hoofddorp), hybrid

• Salary: € 6,000 to € 7,000 gross per month (40 hours)

• Employment: 32 to 40 hours per week, employed by Korton

• Level: HBO ICT degree, TOGAF or ArchiMate certified

• Experience: minimum 5 years in IT infrastructure in an advisory role

• Field: Microsoft 365, Azure, hybrid cloud, workplace, network, security, compliance and AI

About the position
You look at the big picture and the long term. You help determine which direction Korton chooses in workplace, cloud, and security, and translate those choices into standards that every customer team can work with. You support your advice so that management understands it and an engineer can get to work with it immediately.

The role is strategic and tactical. The architect designs, tests, advises, and communicates, and has no executive tasks. You take ownership of the platform, see where opportunities lie, and weigh what a choice means for both Korton and the customer.

We now manage over 20,000 cloud workplaces. We work with short lines of communication in an informal culture, and we care for our customers' systems as if they were our own. Our customer teams are organized by customer group. The platform team, which this position falls under, develops the standards that those teams work with. It is a hands-on team with plenty of room to help build the organization.

• A salary between € 6,000 and € 7,000 gross per month for 40 hours, depending on your knowledge and experience

• HBO ICT degree

• A TOGAF or ArchiMate certification and knowledge of ISO 27001 and NEN 7510

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure for customer organizations in an advisory role

• Extensive experience with architecture in Microsoft environments: Microsoft 365, Azure, workplace management, cloud hosting, and network

• A strong security mindset: you think from a Zero Trust perspective and know Microsoft security solutions well

• You advise persuasively and support your advice in understandable language, for both management and technicians

• You take ownership, think entrepreneurially, and see where Korton's services can be strengthened

• Experience with project-based working and change management
