Junior IT Project Manager

As a Junior IT Project Manager at Korton, you will lead your own IT projects in the world of Microsoft 365 and Azure, such as a migration to Azure or a new workplace on Microsoft 365. A senior project manager will be your sparring partner and coach you in the profession. A role for someone with a sense for IT infrastructure who wants to grow as a project manager, including a lease car or mobility budget.

About the role
You will learn the profession in practice. You will lead your own projects in which customers transition to modern Microsoft environments. You understand what the technology requires and can easily communicate with engineers and consultants. These projects impact the daily work of users. A migration to Azure Virtual Desktop or a new setup of Intune changes how people work. Therefore, in addition to planning and budget, you will also learn how to guide people through change.

You are not alone. A senior project manager will be your sparring partner and coach you in the profession, and you will work closely with technical consultants and architects. Over time, you will grow towards strategic conversations with clients.

There are various paths to this role. Perhaps you currently work as a system administrator or engineer and notice that you get the most energy from planning, coordinating, and guiding people. In that case, this is a logical next step: you bring your technical knowledge with you, and you will learn the project profession here in practice. You could also come from a project role, for example as a project coordinator, and want to further develop in IT projects. Whichever route you have followed, you understand how an IT environment is structured and you want to use that insight to deliver projects successfully.

• Leading your own IT projects, from project plan to delivery

• Drafting project plans with goals, scope, planning, and milestones, and aligning these with colleagues and the client

• Coordinating the project team, including colleagues, external consultants, and suppliers

• Monitoring progress, planning, and budget, and reporting deviations in a timely manner

• Maintaining contact with contact persons at the client, so everyone knows the status of the project

• Identifying risks and discussing them with a substantiated approach with your supervisor

• Ensuring the project meets quality requirements and the information security policy

• Handing over the completed project to the Service Delivery organization

• Role: Junior IT Project Manager, also known as junior IT project leader or IT project coordinator

• Location: Nieuw-Vennep (Haarlemmermeer, near Hoofddorp) and at clients, partially working from home is possible

• Salary & Mobility: A suitable salary based on your knowledge and experience level, plus a lease car or mobility budget

• Employment: 32 to 40 hours per week, employed by Korton

• Level: junior, HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level

• Experience: you understand how IT infrastructure works. Initial experience with IT projects is a plus

• Field: project management, IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Entra ID, Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2

• Cloud migrations to Microsoft Azure

• Implementations of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

• The modern workplace based on Microsoft 365

• Mobile device management and endpoint security with Intune

• Identity and access management with Entra ID and Conditional Access
