Data & AI Architect

• Completed HBO/WO education in Computer Science or a similar technical field

• 5+ years of experience with data management

• Experience in designing and implementing architectures that utilize data & AI ecosystems (such as Azure Data Factory, Purview, AI Foundry)

• Experience with EAM tooling and repository management

• Knowledge of Snowflake or similar data platforms

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulation (such as DAMA-DMBOK, BiSL(-Next))

• Experience with AI management and governance

• Very strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken

• Knowledge of business process management and BPMN 2.0 is a plus

At its core, the Centric CIO Office supports the Centric organization in achieving operational excellence and gaining control over its processes. The CIO Office currently consists of an Enterprise Architect and a Business Architect. With the addition of the Data Architect, the team's core services will be covered. You will report to the CIO and work closely with the managers of the Internal IT and Business Applications departments, which also fall under the responsibility of the CIO.

You will provide direction to the definition and continuous improvement of policies for the data lifecycle and the use of AI, in collaboration with various stakeholders across the international Centric locations. Findings must be incorporated into the broader Enterprise Architecture, but attention must also be paid to putting initiatives into practice. You will advise internal stakeholders and data owners and translate emerging business needs into current policy. Through your design of our data architecture, you will steer the organization towards effective and efficient decision-making regarding data for internal and commercial solutions.

• Designing and maintaining enterprise data architecture (data models, pipelines, platforms, and integrations)

• Defining and maintaining data standards, governance, and quality frameworks

• Supporting data owners in the business, so that their data is secure, accessible, and compliant

• Leading the evolution towards a modern data architecture, including a supporting platform (such as data lakehouse, real-time data)

• Guiding and approving AI use cases and solution designs within the organization

• Defining best practices for data pipelines, model implementation, and lifecycle management

• Defining and implementing guidelines for the ethical, responsible, and secure use of AI systems

• Stimulating experiments and proof of concept initiatives within the Internal IT and Business Applications departments

• Influencing without formal authority in a complex stakeholder environment

• Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical and international stakeholders

• Keeping track of emerging trends in the field of data architecture and AI

• Promoting a data-driven and AI-supported culture within the organization
