The role

Welcome to JYSK!

JYSK is a fast-growing retail chain with more than 3,000 stores in 50 countries. To support this growth logistically, the 10th distribution center is being built in Lelystad. Construction is in full swing and the distribution center is expected to be operational in early 2027.

But of course, that doesn't mean we are sitting idle until then! Currently, we are working hard from our temporary distribution center to realize a smooth transition to the new location.

Something special is happening at JYSK. In Lelystad, we are building our newest distribution center: an important step in the growth of our international organization. A new location offers opportunities to not only build processes and systems, but also to establish a strong organization in which people take responsibility, develop themselves, and achieve results together.

That is why we are looking for an HR Business Partner who takes initiative, provides direction, and dares to make a difference. Someone who sees opportunities, acts quickly, and challenges managers to get the best out of their teams.

In this role, you are a solid interlocutor for the management team and a visible partner on the shop floor. You combine a result-oriented approach with sincere attention to people. You do not wait around, but take ownership, come up with concrete solutions, and turn plans into action.

Together with the managers, you build an organization in which talent is utilized, performance is improved, and employees are given the space to take responsibility.

What you'll do

As an HR Business Partner, you are an important driver of the development of our logistics organization. You will be given the space to act independently, initiate improvements, and visibly contribute to the results of the distribution center.

  • You provide direction to HR and leadership. You advise managers on leadership, performance management, and personnel issues. You ask critical questions, make matters discussable, and help managers to make clear choices.
  • You drive towards results. You analyze HR data and KPIs, such as absenteeism, turnover, and employee satisfaction. You identify opportunities, translate insights into concrete actions, and monitor progress.
  • You develop people and teams. You stimulate talent development, organize development programs, and help managers to make learning and improvement part of the daily work.
  • You tackle complex HR issues. From absenteeism and performance to development and disciplinary processes: you bring structure, take responsibility, and work towards clear solutions.
  • You strengthen engagement and employer branding. You initiate improvements in the areas of employer branding, employee engagement, and job satisfaction.
  • You turn employee feedback into action. You organize and follow up on employee satisfaction surveys and ensure that insights lead to visible improvements.
  • You ensure a solid HR foundation. You monitor relevant HR processes, labor law frameworks, and company guidelines, without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • You build a strong working environment. You stimulate a safe, healthy, and positive culture in which people hold each other accountable, work together, and take responsibility for results.

Why this position is special

You get the chance to help build a new distribution center from the ground up. That means space to take initiative, to look critically at existing ways of working, and to establish an organization that is ready for the future together with the management team.

You have a direct influence on the way leadership is provided, talent is developed, and performance is realized. You are not only involved in thinking of improvements, but especially in actually realizing them.

You work together with operational teams, the management team, and HR colleagues within an international organization. In doing so, you receive the freedom to act independently and the responsibility to turn your ideas into concrete results.

You are an HR professional who likes to take initiative and easily connects with people at all levels within the organization. You are analytically strong, but never lose sight of the human side.
