The role

What you'll do

As a Care & Welfare Assistant, you are important to the daily lives of our residents. You help with dressing and undressing, washing and showering, eating and drinking, and daily care.

But your work goes beyond care. You know the residents, know how they take their coffee, what makes them laugh, and what they enjoy. You make time for a chat, offer attention, and encourage residents to continue doing as much as possible themselves.

You work together with colleagues towards a pleasant, safe, and homely day for the residents.

How you'll work

De Berberishof is located quietly next to the Schiebroekse Park and is a small-scale residential location for people with dementia. With 6 to 8 residents per living group, you truly get to know residents and colleagues.

With us:

  • you work on a small-scale and personal basis;

  • you work with residents with dementia;

  • you are part of a stable and committed team;

  • you contribute to activities, well-being, and a homely atmosphere;

  • you get space to think along and develop yourself;

  • you work shifts of 7 or 8 hours, without split shifts.

The location is easily accessible by car, bus, and tram. There are private parking facilities and a bus stop around the corner.

This is you

You have a heart for care and look beyond just the task. You see what a resident needs and love to contribute to a pleasant day.

You work both independently and collaboratively, communicate easily, and find it important that residents maintain as much autonomy as possible. Whether you are experienced or have just finished your training: with us, you get the space to develop yourself.

Good care sometimes requires looking just a little differently. Are you someone who bends the rules and looks at what is possible? Then you fit well at Humanitas.

Furthermore:

  • you have a Care & Welfare Assistant level 2 diploma;

  • you can work independently and take responsibility;

  • you keep your agreements.
