Demand Planner (32-40 hours)

Are you strong at analyzing figures and do you always look three steps ahead? We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner, who ensures that we always have the right stock in the right quantity at the right time through sharp analyses and reliable forecasts.

As a Demand Planner, you are the analytical engine behind our commercial planning. You build and manage the sales forecasts for various product categories and ensure that these are based on facts and insight. With your analyses of historical data, market developments, seasonal influences, and promotions, you lay the foundation for an accurate prediction of demand.

With Slim4, you translate market trends and patterns into actionable insights for commerce, supply chain, and operations. In doing so, you constantly test forecast accuracy, and you initiate and implement improvements to further optimize it. You are part of one of our multidisciplinary commercial teams, in which you actively engage with changes in demand and their consequences. From one of these commercial teams, you translate market insights into a sales forecast. Subsequently, you work closely with the Supply Planners to secure the right volumes and achieve availability targets. With your sharp eye and numerical insight, you ensure that commercial ambitions, financial capacity, and the logistical operation align seamlessly.

• Preparing and managing detailed sales forecasts for assigned categories.

• Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and external factors (such as seasons, pricing, and promotions), together with the Commercial Analyst.

• Improving forecast accuracy by identifying and implementing improvement actions.

• Managing the inventory budget and advising on the commercial flow of goods.

• Calculating and reporting for assigned categories what the impact of forecasts is on inventory value and storage capacity, in close cooperation with the Supply Planners.

• Calculating the effect of establishing safety stocks (partly based on service levels) on future inventory value and storage capacity, in close cooperation with the Supply Planners.

• A contract for (initially) 12 months with a view to permanent employment.
