You have at least an education as a Lived Experience Expert level 5 (AD) or a Bachelor of Social Work level 6, supplemented with modules focused on the professional application of lived experience expertise. Unfortunately, we cannot appoint you without one of these two educations.
If you are a WRAP facilitator and/or trained in the Yucel method, that is a plus.
Within GGZ inGeest, we strive for care that truly connects with the unique wishes and strengths of our clients. As a lived experience expert, you will receive a versatile role with us: you will guide clients individually and in groups, coach and train your colleagues in recovery-oriented work, and help build innovative group-oriented training in the community. A challenging position in which your background is the key to innovation. Build the care of the future with us.
Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the procedure.
You will be working within the clinics and/or FACT teams at a GGZ inGeest location, where adults (between 18 and 65 years old) and the elderly (65+) with severe psychiatric disorders (SMI) or acute psychiatric problems are treated.
The treatment focuses on recovery, strengthening self-reliance, and lifestyle improvement. In this, a personal treatment plan is drawn up together with the client, their loved ones, and involved chain partners. In addition to psychological complaints, attention is paid to the broader life context of the client, such as: housing, work or daily activities, meaning, and social contacts.
We strive to connect with the unique wishes, strengths, and goals of the client. Collaboration and coordination are crucial to providing integral and sustainable care.
The goal is to support clients in their recovery process and increase their self-reliance, so they can resume their lives as independently and meaningfully as possible. In doing so, emphasis is placed on strengthening their own agency and resilience.
Within GGZ inGeest, work is performed in multidisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, mental health psychologists, physicians, (outpatient) nurses/guides, social workers, IPS job coaches, trajectory guides, and lived experience experts.
As a Lived Experience Expert, you provide a visible and substantive contribution to recovery-oriented care, using your own experience to support clients in their recovery process and to inspire and train colleagues in working from lived experience. You work both directly with clients and within the team and the organization on the development of recovery-oriented care.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing a group-oriented recovery offering, both with other Lived Experience Experts within GGZ inGeest and in co-creation with other partners.
Actively guiding clients toward low-threshold support and care within the social domain, such as the Recovery Academy or Bureau Herstel.
Providing individual and group-oriented guidance to clients, connecting with their personal story and recovery process.
Utilizing your own experience and collective lived experience as a powerful tool within the treatment.
Identifying changes in clients on a psychological or social level and responding to them proactively.
Contributing to treatment plans, executing treatment components, and reporting carefully in the EHR in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Actively contributing the client's perspective within the multidisciplinary team meeting.
Providing information, coaching, and training to colleagues about recovery-oriented care and the role of lived experience expertise in this.
Organizing, evaluating, and improving the use of lived experience expertise within the care teams.
Providing input for policy development, participating in working groups, and translating social and substantive developments into practice and policy.
Together with other Lived Experience Experts from inside or outside GIG, you develop and offer group-oriented training. This can therefore be at one of the other GGZ inGeest locations or in the community.
You will receive a permanent contract immediately.
The position is scaled in FWG 50 CAO GGZ.
