Specialist HSE (all genders) in the Netherlands

• Completed HBO (higher professional education) or WO/Master's degree with at least 3 years of work experience;
• Extensive knowledge of SHE management systems, risk analyses, and audit principles;

Employment conditions

• Salary between €4,550 and €6,000 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and suitability for the role;
• A work week of 32 to 38 hours, 5% year-end bonus, 10% company bonus, 8% holiday allowance, and a pension scheme;
• A train pass and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way);
• 200 hours of leave per year, with the option to buy or sell up to 40 extra hours;
• A laptop, phone, and home office equipment to work flexibly;

In the role of HSE Specialist, you are an important person at this production site; this is because you are co-responsible for the safety and health of your direct colleagues and the environment. In this role, you also operate within a complex stakeholder landscape; from plant manager to government agencies to the experienced operator on the line. Together with the plant manager, your colleagues, and the local management team, you are busy every moment of the day making our production site even safer, even healthier, and even more sustainable.

• Together with the operational departments, you work on various HSE issues;
• You will deal with themes such as: machine safety, explosion safety, chemistry, fire safety, environmental permits, etc.;
• You manage the emergency response plan and coordinate the emergency response organization (BHV);
• You support, advise, and monitor the process in the follow-up of safety reports and incidents.

Coöperatieve Zuivelfabriek Zuidelijk Westerkwartier is located on the old facade of our cheese factory in Marum, Groningen. The cheese factory has been in production since 1918, and we specialize in unique Edam cheese. You know them; the small, spherical red cheese. We do not do this without success, as our Edam cheeses have been awarded as the best Edams in the world.
