As HSE Coordinator (Environment) at Arvato, you are the specialist in the field of energy management, waste management, and the environment. You combine operational involvement with a tactical perspective and ensure that our sustainability goals are actually realized on the work floor.

You work within a logistics environment where sustainability, efficiency, and compliance are becoming increasingly important. By analyzing data, initiating improvements, and engaging stakeholders, you make a direct contribution to our ESG ambitions. In addition, you regularly work with international HSE and Environment colleagues to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and further develop joint sustainability initiatives.

As HSE Coordinator (Environment), you are responsible for improving the environmental performance of our locations. You are visibly present in operations, but also think tactically about long-term sustainable improvements.

Your main responsibilities

• Monitoring energy consumption and analyzing data from the Energy Management System (EMS); translating analyses into concrete (financial) improvements.
• Application management of the Energy Management System.
• Initiating and supervising projects focused on energy savings, KPIs, analyses, and the efficient use of sustainable energy;
• Developing energy and sustainability reports for customers and internal stakeholders;
• Supporting environmental compliance, permits, and ESG-related reporting;
• Directing and optimizing operational waste management at multiple locations;
• Analyzing waste streams and developing initiatives to reduce residual waste and increase recycling;
• Organizing and preparing Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with waste processors and other external partners;

You work within the HSE team (part of Operational Excellence) and report to the HSE Manager. You have a lot of contact with operations, facility, suppliers, customers, and external partners, and you know how to inspire people to achieve sustainable results together.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who knows how to translate sustainability into concrete results and gets energy from data, analyses, and continuous improvement.

• Experience with waste management, energy management, or the environment within a logistics, industrial, or production environment;
• Affinity with data analysis and working with KPIs, dashboards, and reports;
• Experience with Energy Management Systems (EMS) or similar monitoring systems is a plus;
• Knowledge of waste legislation, environmental legislation, or ESG is a plus, or a willingness to develop this further;
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement;
• Proactive, result-oriented, and able to involve various stakeholders – both locally and internationally – in sustainable improvements.
