HSE Officer (all genders) in the Netherlands

As a SHE Officer, you are an important pivot in creating and continuously improving a safe, healthy, and sustainable working environment at our production site. You advise and support the operational departments and management on various SHE issues and ensure that safety and health are a natural part of daily business operations.

You work on themes such as machine safety, explosion safety (ATEX), chemical safety, fire safety, and environmental and permit regulations. Additionally, you manage the emergency response plan, coordinate the BHV (Emergency Response) organization, and support and monitor the follow-up of safety reports and incidents.

You are a visible and connecting SHE professional who easily switches between different stakeholders, from operators and management to external parties and government agencies. With persuasiveness, perseverance, and a proactive attitude, you know how to engage colleagues in safety and sustainability issues.

You will also be given the space to independently initiate and lead SHE improvement projects as part of the 'Our Way Of Working' improvement program. In doing so, you will work together with colleagues within the production site and be part of the global SHE community of FrieslandCampina, where knowledge and best practices are shared.

• Experience within a production environment, preferably in a similar SHE/HSE role;
• Demonstrable affinity with safety, health, sustainability, and the environment;
• Possession of an IVK, MVK, or HVK diploma, or willingness to obtain this training;
• Experience with high-risk activities within the chemical industry, including ARIE and ATEX;
• Experience with setting up, maintaining, and improving ISO-certified management systems, such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001;
• Proactive and decisive attitude and the ability to take action independently;
• Persuasiveness and the ability to engage employees and other stakeholders in SHE issues;
• Perseverance in realizing improvements and tackling safety issues;
• Ability to maintain perspective and the ability to set the right priorities in different situations.

• Salary between €4000 and €5,000 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and suitability for the role;
• A 38-hour work week, 5% end-of-year bonus, 10% bonus, 8% holiday allowance, and a pension scheme;
• 200 hours of leave per year, with the possibility to buy or sell up to 40 extra hours;
• A laptop and phone;
• A train pass and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way).
