HSE Specialist Senior (all genders) in the Netherlands

In addition, you possess:

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree with at least 10 years of relevant work experience, or a completed WO/Master's degree with at least 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience within a production or industrial environment in which HSE plays an important role.
• An HVK or IVK training completed, or the willingness to obtain this.
• Extensive knowledge of HSE management systems, risk analyses, and audit principles.
• Knowledge of themes such as machine safety, explosion safety, chemical safety, fire safety, and environmental legislation.

• A salary between € 4,550 and € 6,000 gross per month based on full-time employment, depending on experience and background.

In the role of Senior HSE Specialist, you are co-responsible for the safety, health, and environmental performance of our production site in Gerkesklooster. You operate in a complex stakeholder field in which you collaborate with operators, team leaders, managers, external agencies, and regulators. Together with the Plant Manager, your colleagues, and the local management team, you work daily on further improving our safety culture.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Taking the lead in drafting HSE annual plans and determining priorities for the location.
• Managing themes such as machine safety, explosion safety, business emergency plans, chemical safety, and environmental legislation.
• Performing and supervising risk analyses, safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Acting as a substantive expert and coach for SHE specialist(s), supervisors, and project teams.
• Coordinating external audits, inspections, and contacts with regulatory authorities.
• Initiating and leading improvement projects in the field of HSE.
• Supporting, advising, and monitoring the follow-up of safety reports, incidents, and improvement actions.
• Advising and supporting operational departments on various HSE issues.

Additionally, you are part of the global HSE community within FrieslandCampina. Within this network, you share knowledge, experiences, and best practices with colleagues from other locations and contribute to the further professionalization of HSE within the organization.

You are part of the local management and HSE network of FrieslandCampina Gerkesklooster and work daily with colleagues from Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain. The HSE team consists of two HSE specialists. In this position, you report to the Plant Manager and fulfill an important advisory and driving role within the location.

Additionally, you are connected to the international HSE community of FrieslandCampina. This gives you access to a large network of specialists with whom knowledge, experiences, and innovations are exchanged. Together, you work towards the ambition to continuously further improve safety, health, and sustainability.
