HSE Manager

• Holds a completed HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree in Integrated Safety Science, Security Management, Operations Management, Process Technology, or a similar field.

• Has at least 7 years of experience in a senior HSE role within a complex, industrial environment.

• Has demonstrable experience in leading HSE programs, cultural change, and compliance processes.

• Has experience within an international matrix organization and manufacturing environment.

• Is a strong people leader who knows how to inspire, develop, and connect teams.

• Brings excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

• Leading and accelerating the safety, health, and environmental culture within the Benelux organization, by visibly stimulating desired behavior and anchoring it sustainably at all organizational levels.

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring the Benelux HSE strategy, programs, and improvement initiatives, aimed at realizing a proactive safety and compliance culture.

• Acting as a strategic sparring partner for management and operations in the areas of HSE risks, compliance, performance, and organizational development.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, company standards, and certification requirements, and translating external developments into policy and concrete improvement actions.

• Identifying, analyzing, and controlling operational and strategic HSE risks, including initiating and leading continuous improvement processes.

• Representing the organization towards regulators, inspection services, certification bodies, and other external stakeholders.

• Leading or guiding incident investigations, including root cause analyses, and ensuring effective corrective and preventive measures.

• Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on HSE performance within the Benelux organization and stimulating a data-driven approach aimed at continuous improvement.

• Collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, and HR to structurally integrate HSE principles into processes, projects, and decision-making.

• Directing, coaching, and developing the Benelux HSE team to ensure a high level of expertise, ownership, and performance.

• Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 is a plus
