Do you want to develop yourself as a designer and contribute to leading civil engineering projects? Do you have a passion for structures and do you enjoy collaborating on smart, sustainable solutions? Then this is your chance to make an impact at Dura Vermeer!
As a structural designer, you work on setting up and developing 3D models and drawings of civil engineering structures, such as bridges, dikes, viaducts, and tunnels. You make use of Revit and learn to work (further) with Dynamo to make designs smarter and more efficient.
You are not alone: you work closely with experienced colleagues and are given the space to further develop your knowledge. Step by step, you grow in your role and learn how to optimize models and contribute to innovative solutions within BIM, digitalization, and automation.
You are curious and dare to ask questions. You actively seek out information and share your insights with the team. Together with structural engineers and work preparers, you ensure that designs are not only correct, but also feasible and safe. In this way, you make a visible contribution to the success of our projects.
We find it important that you can develop yourself and contribute your ideas. Therefore, we encourage you to think along about how we can continue to improve our digital working methods.
You will work on various infra projects of Dura Vermeer throughout the Netherlands. You will do this together with driven colleagues from different disciplines. You will become part of the Civil Design department, within the Design cluster. The cluster currently consists of approximately 150 colleagues, through which we fulfill our ambition as a designing builder. Take, for example, the renovation of the Heinenoord tunnel, the Wolferen Sprok dike reinforcement, the Tiel Waardenburg dike reinforcement, the construction of the A15, or projects that contribute to the energy transition.
We strive for a balanced composition of our team. Because women are currently underrepresented in this job group, we expressly encourage women to apply. In the event of equal suitability, preference may be given to a female candidate, within our preferential policy.

At Dura Vermeer, we prefer to recruit and select our candidates without the well-intentioned help of 'subcontractors'. In the event of acquisition, we reserve the right to charge for additional work.
Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.
With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.
Our ambitions are big. And we can only achieve them with committed people. That's why we invest in good employer practices and a working environment where you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe and speak your mind. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.
