Business Office Manager

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in the field of civil engineering or similar;

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role as manager/head of business office;

• Knowledge of/and experience with infra and civil works, preferably in an industrial environment;

• Knowledge of cost price calculations;

• Good communication skills and the ability to connect different disciplines;  

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• The salary for this position is between € 7,610.15 and € 9,512.68 gross per month (based on 40 hours)*, excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience.

• On top of the salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to CAO Bouw & Infra).

As business office manager at Dura Vermeer Haven & Industrie, you will be involved in managing the team focused on calculation and securing new projects. Together with these teams, you will be responsible for the successful acquisition of new projects and the further growth of our operating company. The role of business office manager is a new position within our operating company, so you will have plenty of room to shape the role according to your own knowledge and insight.

As business office manager, you play a crucial role in the perfect preparation and acquisition of projects. You are the connector between the commercial, calculation, tender management, and execution departments. Together, you ensure that we create distinctive and winning quotes. You oversee the calculations and take responsibility for their quality and reliability. Together with your team, you ensure the correct alignment between acquisition and operations, while closely monitoring progress. Furthermore, you are expected to further develop and professionalize the processes, knowledge, and way of working within the business office.

You will be working at Dura Vermeer Haven & Industrie with the Botlek Rotterdam office. We work for customers in the port areas and for private customers in industry.
