Requirements

What we're looking for

You have extensive experience installing heat pumps, central heating installations, or other heating systems. Experience with heat pumps is strongly preferred.
You have a good technical foundation in installation technology, electrical engineering, and/or mechanical engineering.
You can perform installations independently, read technical drawings, and solve unexpected problems.
You have experience mentoring other technicians, or are ready to take on that responsibility.
You work accurately and safely and find it important to deliver high-quality work.
You communicate easily with customers and colleagues and can explain technical matters in an understandable way.
You take initiative, think in solutions, and feel responsible for the end result.
You speak good Dutch and have a driving license (category B).

A relevant MBO education and certifications such as VCA, NEN 3140, or CO-vakmanschap are a plus. Don't have all the required certificates yet? Then we will look together at what you can still achieve.

What you'll get

A salary of €4,000 to €6,000 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your experience.
A key role in our company: you will become the first Lead Technician of our internal installation team and help to expand it further.

The role

At DeWarmte, we make smart and affordable heat pumps that help homes move away from gas. We design our products ourselves, assemble them in Utrecht, and work together with our installation partners to ensure they reach more and more people's homes.

We are growing fast. So far, all our heat pumps have been installed by external partners, but that is changing. We are going to build our own installation teams and are therefore looking for a Lead Heat Pump Technician to take the lead in this.

You are an experienced technician who loves to roll up your sleeves, but also gets energy from mentoring others. You will go out with your team, be responsible for the quality of the installations, and help us to train more and more technicians.

So, you will not be joining an existing team. You will help build the team itself.

What you'll do

As Lead Technician, you are responsible for the installation of our heat pumps at customers' homes. You will start by leading our first internal installation team and help us to further expand our own installation capacity in the coming years.

About the company & team

You will go out together with a fellow technician to install our heat pumps at customers' homes.
You are responsible for the complete installation, from the technical execution and solving unexpected problems to the final handover.
You ensure that installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to our quality standards.
You are the point of contact for the customer during the installation. You explain what you are doing, answer questions, and ensure the customer is left with a good feeling.
Where necessary, you coordinate with our work preparers and office colleagues regarding planning, materials, and technical challenges.
You mentor and train new technicians and help them to be able to carry out installations independently.
You contribute ideas regarding the hiring of new colleagues and how we can further expand our installation team.
You help to further develop our installation standards and working methods.
You identify what can be done better or smarter in practice and take the initiative to improve this.
You share feedback from the field with our engineers, work preparers, and product developers, so that we can continuously improve our products and installations.

We are looking for someone who knows their craft well, takes responsibility, and enjoys making others better. You don't necessarily need to have built an entire team before, but you must be eager to take on that challenge.
