The following knowledge and skills are expected of the lead technician traction- power supply:

• A technical education at MBO level with a field of study such as electrical engineering or energy technology

• At least 2 years of experience in infra / civil engineering technical activities or in working on the railway;

• Authorities in the field of power supply, for example at least shift leader OS/SS and 3KV and you will get the opportunity to obtain WV papers

Lead technician traction- power supply. Together with your team, you will build track-bound traction and power supply installations throughout the Netherlands. Trains run on electricity. The overhead lines give the trains the power to move forward. Not only do the trains run on electricity, but so do the signals, the security installations, and the switches. To ensure that these devices / machines are provided with power, there are various underground and above-ground energy and distribution stations. These stations provide all the railway equipment with power. Without these facilities, nothing can run or function. In our work, safety comes first and the work is carried out during the day and sometimes also during weekends and nights. The task package of the lead technician traction- power supply with preparatory tasks consists of, among others:

• Ensuring the work preparation of the execution, such as checking execution documents and collecting materials and tools;

• Performing activities at, among others, energy and distribution stations or renewal projects;

• (Co-)locating, analyzing, and resolving faults that arise during commissioning;

• In the absence of the supervisor, you direct the technicians during renovation or new construction projects;

• Reporting progress and administering data;

• Functional leadership of technicians
