As an Assistant Accountant, you are an important link within the team and for our clients. You work for an agricultural client portfolio and ensure quality, overview, and insight into the figures. In doing so, you identify opportunities and areas for improvement and actively think along with entrepreneurs about their business operations.

You work independently, but also seek collaboration with colleagues and specialists within the organization. Additionally, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with junior colleagues and contributing to their development.

Your duties include

• Preparing annual accounts;

• Handling tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, corporate tax, and dividend tax;

• Identifying opportunities and areas for improvement and discussing these with clients;

• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues;

• Thinking along about quality and process improvements.

You primarily work for entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. Many of your clients are active in dairy farming and arable farming. You understand the challenges they face daily and support them with insightful figures and practical advice.

Through the combination of accountancy, taxation, and entrepreneurship, you can provide broad support to clients and, together with colleagues, contribute to their success and future-proofing.

You recognize yourself in:

• A completed HBO degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, or similar;

• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience;

• Affinity with the agricultural sector;

• A structured and independent working attitude;

• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude;

• The ability and motivation to mentor colleagues and share knowledge.
