The role
ad/mbo practical internship, from February 2027
Are you someone who loves to create order in chaos?
Do you get energy from researching, structuring, and making things clear?
Do you enjoy working with digital systems?
This is your challenge
We have hundreds of documents containing information about our policies and decisions made. These documents are relevant to many colleagues. For that reason, we would like to offer the documents in an organized manner, so that all colleagues can quickly and easily find the document they are looking for. We already have an idea of how we want to do this. During your internship, you will further develop our idea and apply it in practice.
These are the concrete activities:
You will collect all policy documents that are currently stored in various locations.
You will create a folder structure in which the documents are placed in a logical location.
You will categorize the documents according to the new structure and provide them with labels and metadata for optimal findability.
You will check if documents are duplicates and remove duplicate, outdated, and no longer relevant documents.
You will see if the new structure works well in practice and if users can easily find the documents.
You will identify bottlenecks and, where necessary, make proposals for improvements.
This is your internship location at CBS Heerlen
You will do your internship with the Data Collection (DVZ) Staff team at CBS in Heerlen. A large portion of the data that CBS needs for its work is collected from this directorate. You will therefore get a look behind the scenes at an organization that works with many different types of data daily.
Your internship assignment concerns quality assurance for all teams within DVZ.
Of course, you won't be alone during your internship: you have colleagues around you whom you can turn to with questions and ideas. The atmosphere in the department is informal and friendly. Colleagues are easy to approach and happy to help each other. Naturally, hard work is done, but there is also time for a chat at the coffee machine or a shared lunch. If you wish, you can also join a lunch walk during lunch.
In short: with us, you will get the space to gain practical experience, learn new things, and truly contribute within a team.

You like to work neatly and structured, are reliable, and enjoy learning new things. You pick things up on your own, think along, and ask questions if something is not clear. You also enjoy working together and making easy contact with colleagues.
This is what you can expect from us
A pleasant learning environment in which you:
gains practical experience with document and information management and learns how to make information clear and easily findable;
