Scrum Master

For our employment conditions, we follow the CAO Rijk (Central Government Collective Labour Agreement).
That means you can count on the following, among other things:

• A salary of at least € 4,818 and at most € 7,094 gross per month based on 36 hours. Depending on your knowledge and experience. If you do not yet possess all the necessary knowledge and experience at the start of your position, a choice can be made for temporary placement in a lower salary scale. You will make agreements about this with your manager at the start of your position.

• 8% holiday allowance and a 13th month. In total, this is 16.5% on top of your salary. We call this the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). You decide yourself how, when, and in what way you want to use this budget.

• Pension accrual at the ABP Pension Fund.

• A laptop (Microsoft or Apple) and mobile phone (Android or iOS).

• You work hybrid, with a guideline of at least 2 days per week in the office. You will make agreements about this within your team.

Are you the connector who knows how to coach our agile teams to a higher level? Will you help us stimulate and guide collaboration and governance across the teams?

Then the position of Scrum Master might be a good match. A Scrum Master with the qualities of a Scrum Coach who looks beyond the Scrum events, understands how organizations can integrate improvements and innovation into their functioning from their practice, and feels at home in the interplay between development teams and management.

You are responsible for the growth in maturity of the teams. You do this by redefining and helping to safeguard team goals, roles, and responsibilities. Coaching the team, the product owner (PO), and direct collaboration partners and helping them grow further in their collaboration and responsibilities. Our teams organize their daily activities as independently as possible. You help them to become increasingly stronger in doing so, which gives you space to devote attention to the human and organizational sides of change.

• Coaching the teams on collaboration, ownership, and independence, and supporting team members in effectively fulfilling their roles.

• Monitoring and improving the flow, predictability, and quality across multiple teams.

• Seeking and finding alignment on ways of working, quality, and collaboration (such as Definition of Done, working agreements, Scrum events, and tooling).

• Structurally guiding retrospectives and remaining closely involved in the collaboration, development, and challenges of the teams.

• Ensuring engagement and transparency towards line management, business partners, and other IT teams, and advising management on team development, organizational improvements, and the design of work processes.
