As an ophthalmologist at our clinic, you play a crucial role in improving the quality of life of our patients. You will get the unique opportunity to work within various facets of ophthalmology.

What will you do?
The opportunities we offer are versatile and include activities both in the outpatient clinic, as well as in the operating room and the independent treatment rooms. This gives you the chance to experience different aspects of ophthalmology and to further develop your skills in diverse environments. Additionally, you will be part of patient discussions, clinic, and department meetings. You will work one or two days in Ede, and potentially at one of our satellite clinics in Veenendaal and Arnhem. Exact days and hours are negotiable.

Within the ophthalmology team, there are on-call shifts proportional to the workload for our own patients and the patients of the Gelderse Vallei GP out-of-hours service.

The department consists of 8 general ophthalmologists with various areas of focus. The clinic in Ede features 2 operating rooms, a treatment room, YAG, Argon, and PDT lasers. Extensive diagnostic equipment is available in the outpatient clinic, including FFA camera, OCT(angio), HFA, Sirius corneatopgraph, A- and B-scan. In addition to our own surgical programs for anterior segment and eyelid surgery, we perform strabismus surgery for both adults and children at another location. The consultation hours are supported by an enthusiastic team of optometrists, surgical assistants, orthoptists, and four physician assistants. Additionally, every consultation is assisted by a care consultant who takes many administrative tasks off your hands.
