Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging role where you are at the heart of the operation? At Animal Health, that is possible. You are open to learning and you have a drive to work neatly and accurately according to fixed procedures. You contribute to the development of the Packaging department.

Are you our new Packaging Operator (Day Shift)?

Welcome to our team
At our Animal Health location in Boxmeer, which is part of the global Animal Health network, animal health products are manufactured and packaged. The Packaging department consists of 5 teams of over 100 colleagues, where one team works in the warehouse for secondary packaging materials, two teams work in 2-shift service (mainly automated machines), one team works in day shift (mechanical and manual packaging activities), and a Maintenance & Reliability department that is responsible for the technical maintenance of the machines.

About the role
You will work within the day shift team (07:00 to 15:30) where mechanical and manual packaging activities are performed. You will work in an environment where safety is a top priority and work is carried out according to GMP (good manufacturing practice) guidelines. This means working according to procedures and guidelines in the areas of safety and quality, without this coming at the expense of output.

What you'll do

  • Performing preparatory activities at the start of an order, such as setting up and adjusting machines (printers, labeling machines, and packaging machines), machine changeovers, line clearance, and various material checks prior to production startup
  • Operating the machines according to instructions and procedures, including setting up and removing products, performing various in-process controls and registering them, monitoring safe and high-quality production, and order registration
  • Ensuring the good technical condition of the machines by identifying disruptions, resolving minor disruptions, escalating process deviations, maintenance and cleaning of machines and associated workstations, and making improvement suggestions
  • Guiding and training new colleagues

Your profile

  • Completed MBO3 education, preferably in a technical field
  • Preferably work experience within a production environment and experience with operating machines
  • Preferably Yellow Belt certified plus some experience with continuous improvement
