Do you want to work in a modern and well-equipped clinic where animal and owner are central?
Are you looking for a place where you can work independently, but can always rely on experienced colleagues? Where you are given plenty of room to grow and where job satisfaction and a good work-life balance are important? Then we would love to meet you!
For AniCura Kennemerland, we are looking for a veterinarian for 32 hours per week.
AniCura Kennemerland consists of six locations in the Kennemerland region: Velserbroek, Beverwijk Büllerlaan, Beverwijk Duinwijklaan, Santpoort, Bloemendaal, and IJmuiden. Together we form a team of 15 veterinarians, 30 veterinary nurses, and 7 animal care assistants.
Each location has its own character and expertise. This makes working within Kennemerland varied and offers plenty of opportunities to discover different aspects of the profession:
Santpoort is fully equipped for high-level dentistry.
Bloemendaal, Beverwijk, and Velserbroek have modern operating rooms for sterile surgery.
Duinwijk and IJmuiden are small-scale, cozy neighborhood practices where only consultation hours take place.
At Beverwijk Büllerlaan, we work closely with an ultrasound specialist and offer high-quality diagnostics.
In addition, our clinics have extensive facilities, including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and blood analysis.
Within our group, veterinarians have specialized in areas such as ultrasound, dentistry, and exotic animals. Do you have your own area of interest? Then we would love to look together at how you can further develop this.
As a veterinarian at AniCura Kennemerland, you will work with a varied range of patients and will be given plenty of room to work independently.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
Performing primary care consultations and preventive health checks.
Making diagnoses and creating treatment plans.
Performing surgical and dental treatments, matching your experience.
Performing and assessing diagnostics.
Guiding patients during treatment and recovery.
Discussing research results and treatment options with pet owners.
Consulting with fellow veterinarians and making use of the expertise within the group.
We are looking for a veterinarian who is driven, positive, and empathetic and who wants to further develop veterinary care together with colleagues.
Additionally:
You have graduated as a veterinarian and are registered in the Veterinary Register.
You are eager to learn and want to continue developing yourself.
You like working independently, but also enjoy working together.
You communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners.
You enjoy sharing knowledge and learning from others.
You like to contribute to a good team atmosphere.
Experience is welcome, but you are also very welcome as a starting veterinarian. We provide guidance that matches your experience and stage of development.
A position of 32 hours per week.
A dedicated team of veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and animal care assistants.
Plenty of variety thanks to six locations with different expertise.
Modern clinics with extensive diagnostic and surgical facilities.
Room for professional and personal development.
Good guidance.
A professional coach and career counselor for your development.
An intensive mentorship program for starting veterinarians.
Attention to a healthy work-life balance.
Joint morning starts and we deliberately make time for coffee and lunch with colleagues.
Multiple social activities per year.
The regular working hours are from 08:30 to 17:00. It is possible you will work one day per week from 11:30 to 20:00.
Velserbroek is open on Saturdays from 08:30 to 17:00. On average, you will work 4 to 6 Saturdays per year. Emergency admissions at night are taken over by the Medisch Centrum voor Dieren (MCD) in Amsterdam, which is also part of AniCura.

At AniCura Kennemerland, we believe it is important that you are not alone. You work closely with colleagues and can always turn to someone for consultation. We share knowledge during internal continuing education and make use of the expertise within our group and the broader AniCura network.
Much is also possible for your personal development. Through AniCura, you can participate in national and international continuing education. Additionally, you can make use of guidance from experienced colleagues, a professional coach, and a career counselor.
Have you just graduated? Then you will receive an intensive one-on-one mentorship program within Kennemerland. In your first year, you will be guided by an experienced veterinarian. After that, we will look together at which location and direction of development suit you best. Think, for example, of surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound, VBD, or dentistry.
