Trainee Lawyer Commercial Contracts

As a trainee lawyer, you will be part of the Commercial Contracts section. The section consists of lawyers who work closely together and enjoy working for the profession. The section has extensive experience in the field of (international) contract law and specializes, among other things, in the drafting of contracts and contractual clauses and in litigating regarding (international) contracts (both before the civil courts and in arbitration). The lawyers and assistants of the section form a close-knit team. High-quality expertise is present and the section operates at the top of the market. There is also an accessible atmosphere and an open culture.

In this position, the focus of your activities lies on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts. This includes (purchase) agreements, cooperation agreements, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements (independent contractor), and distribution and agency agreements. You will also regularly advise on general terms and conditions, dealer relationships, and consumer law. Additionally, you will regularly litigate regarding (international) contracts.

In this role, you will be actively mentored by (experienced) lawyers while simultaneously being given the space to quickly take on your own responsibility. In fact, you will be encouraged to develop yourself and challenged to get the best out of yourself!

• you have (nearly) successfully completed your master's in Dutch law;

• you have an affinity with contract law;

• some practical experience in legal services is a plus;

• you have the desire to draft (inter)national commercial contracts, advise on them, and further develop yourself in this field;

• you can express yourself excellently both orally and in writing in Dutch and English; and

• you are preferably available as soon as possible (a later start date is negotiable; in this regard, no account needs to be taken of the deadlines for submitting the petition for admission to the bar and the registration for the Professional Training).
