We are looking for a trainee lawyer within the Restructuring & Insolvency practice.
At Freshfields, we work on complex and high-profile restructurings and insolvencies - both domestic and cross-border. We guide companies in financial distress, advise banks and investors, and litigate where necessary on strategic insolvency and financing issues. Our Restructuring & Insolvency practice combines legal sharpness with economic reality. In doing so, we work intensively with colleagues from, for example, Finance and Litigation, as well as with our international network. This multidisciplinary and international collaboration makes the work dynamic and challenging. This combination, together with the speed of the transactions, ensures a challenging working environment in which analytical ability and creative thinking go hand in hand. This requires expertise at the intersection of, among others, corporate law, property law, and insolvency law.
The practice is located at the intersection of transactions and litigation, and is part of the GMAC practice, where more than 500 lawyers work worldwide.
A broad practice - a solid foundation
Whether it concerns the banking practice, leveraged finance, the restructuring and insolvency practice, or the structured finance practice, Freshfields has a strong market position in each of these areas and has been involved in numerous leading restructuring transactions in recent years. There is also a close connection with the litigation practice in the field of, for example, the WHOA and insolvency law, in which you, as a lawyer interested in insolvency law, can be closely involved and can also act in court if that is your ambition.
