Project Manager Civil Engineering

You are an experienced project leader with a sharp eye for both technology and people. You are persuasive, a strong communicator, and know how to exploit opportunities in the market. Preferably, you have been active for at least ten years as a project leader in the field of civil structures. Even if you have less experience but believe you possess the experience and skills mentioned below, we want to encourage you to apply.

• Extensive experience with existing structures, inspections, and management tasks;

• Knowledge of requirements, inspection methods, and material behavior within existing civil structures;

• Experience with acquisition and securing new projects;

• Strong skills in planning, communication, and persuasiveness;

• A background in civil engineering is desired, but previous education is secondary to your experience as a project manager in existing structures.

Location: Hybrid and in the office in Holten and/or Nieuwegein

At Aveco de Bondt, we believe in civil engineering structures that work in practice. In our close-knit Civil Engineering team, you will work on renovations, replacements, and inspections of existing structures—from bridges and tunnels to quay constructions.
Our projects are technically complex, socially relevant, and constantly evolving. As Project Manager Civil Engineering (Existing Structures), you will be right in the middle of this world. You will secure new assignments and ensure that projects run successfully from A to Z.

As Project Manager Civil Engineering, you are the conductor within our team. You know how "the wind blows" in the world of existing structures and speak the language of clients such as governments, grid operators, and industrial parties.

You are responsible for acquiring, managing, and executing projects in the field of civil structures. In doing so, you lead project teams consisting of structural engineers, modelers, advisors, and other disciplines.

• Preparing, monitoring, and adjusting budget, planning, and quality;

• Maintaining client relationships and expanding the network in the existing structures market;

• Leading project teams within multidisciplinary projects;

• Contracting and managing partners;

• Executing and coordinating inspections, analyses, and advice regarding renovation, replacement, and material-related issues (such as aging and degradation mechanisms);

• Working on projects ranging from €2,500 to €180,000, with room to secure projects of larger scale.
