Role description:
As a Lead Electrical Engineer within Sustainable Building Services & Physics (SBS&P), you are responsible for coordinating, planning, and setting up electrical designs and calculations. The designs are often complex and innovative electrical installations. These include, among others, medium and low voltage installations, lighting, fire protection, detection systems, and communication networks. You manage the direction of design engineers and modelers. In consultation with the client and project leaders, you help establish the project principles. You ensure the necessary calculations, the production of, among others, schematic diagrams, and form the basis of the electrical installation design. The designs are processed in a digital BIM working environment, using, among others, Autodesk products such as Revit and BIM360Docs. The projects you work on have a multidisciplinary character and are both national and international. Sharing knowledge and collaborating with different disciplines is therefore essential to realize the most well-thought-out, high-quality, and strategically sustainable solutions for clients.

Sustainable Building Services & Physics Advisory Group
Within the SBS&P advisory group, we realize solutions together with clients that respond to the objectives of the climate agreement within installation technology in the built environment. We do this, for example, by drafting strategic advice regarding: the grid congestion challenge, objectives for healthy buildings, CO2 reduction, designing sustainable gas-free buildings that contribute to the energy transition, designing WKO (aquifer thermal energy storage) and PV installations, smart building solutions, etc. "Raising the bar every time" is characteristic of the SBS&P advisory group. Therefore, the most modern techniques are frequently used, including Virtual Reality applications within the design. You will work in an enthusiastic group of colleagues within the multidisciplinary Sustainable Building Services & Physics advisory group, with representation in the Arcadis offices in Rotterdam, 's-Hertogenbosch, and Maastricht.

Role responsibilities:
You are part of a project team and independently take responsibility for complex and innovative electrical installation issues. You provide direction to the team and the design, and monitor progress, the budget, and the client's principles. Within the projects, you hold a coordinating and leadership role as a technical specialist.

Building-related installation technology is in motion due to, among other things, the objectives of the climate agreement, the energy transition, grid congestion, and the digitalization of technologies. Within the design team, you coordinate your design with other involved disciplines, both within Arcadis and certainly outside the organization with other design parties. The organization and our clients are demanding, which means that in addition to improving technical knowledge, we pay a lot of attention to your personal development. Qualifications & Experience:
We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who knows how to get stuck in, does not shy away from challenges, and enjoys leading project teams.
