Talent Development & Social Impact Assistant

As a Talent Development & Social Impact Assistant (32-40 hours per week), you will play an important role in the education and development of our lawyers, (candidate) notaries, and tax specialists.

You will support the administration and coordination of education and training. You will assist in managing the procedural practice of the AOS in Court training program. Additionally, you will be involved in the coordination of the firm's pro bono practice, in close cooperation with the Pro Bono & Community Investment Committee (PBCI Committee).

In this varied role, you will make a visible daily contribution to the development of legal talent within A&O Shearman and to the social impact of our firm through the pro bono practice.

• organizing and coordinating education, training, workshops, and onboarding activities;
• managing training administration, maintaining contact with participants, training institutes, and other internal and external stakeholders;
• supporting the trainee lawyer program, the Professional Training for Lawyers, the Law Firm School, and other traineeship activities, and administering and coordinating the AOS in Court procedural practice;
• preparing, minuting, and following up on the monthly meetings of the PBCI Committee, supporting the coordination of pro bono partnerships, and providing data for periodic (semi-annual) reports;
• contributing to the further optimization of processes and working methods in the areas of Talent Development and Social Impact.

You are proactive, accurate, and organized. You get energy from planning, organizing, and supporting, and you feel comfortable in a role where you collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, you possess:

mbo+ or hbo level of work and thinking and relevant work experience in an administrative, coordinating, or supporting role;

strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities;

affinity with talent development, pro bono, and social impact;

a proactive, service-oriented, and independent working attitude;

good communication skills in Dutch and English and experience with Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
