Are you an intensive care nurse with a master's degree and a curious, critical eye on how care can be improved? Are you looking for a role in which you combine your clinical experience with scientific research? Then this is your chance. As a master nurse - research, you will work 50% in direct care and 50% on research that truly contributes to better oncological care. This position is new - so you get the unique opportunity to be at the foundation of something that matters: practice-oriented research with a direct effect on patients, colleagues, and policy.
As a master nurse - research, you combine oncological patient care with scientific research. Working from the intensive care unit, you address questions that are truly relevant there. Because of your position in practice, you see what can be improved and use research to realize it.
In this dual role, you will work as an intensive care nurse for 50% of your time. You provide intensive care to surgical and medical oncological patients, often postoperatively, with a relatively short length of stay. Thanks to a favorable care ratio (often 1-on-1), you truly have time for personal and emotional support. You have a lot of autonomy: your input is valued in multidisciplinary consultations. You can also participate in working groups or become a clinical mentor. Additionally, you have influence over your schedule, and we are working towards self-scheduling - for a good work-life balance.
The remaining 50% is dedicated to Nursing Research and knowledge development:
You initiate, develop, and conduct nursing research - from the initial question to implementation.
You translate scientific insights into practice and contribute to protocols and guidelines.
You collaborate on publications, present on (inter)national platforms, and build networks.
You stimulate a research-oriented attitude within the team and coach colleagues in evidence-based working.
You identify bottlenecks and translate them into research questions or improvement projects. Do you want to take care to a higher level and simultaneously contribute to scientific progress? Apply now and make the difference!

You are a research-oriented, independent intensive care nurse with courage and vision. You dare to ask questions and seek answers that matter. You have:
A completed HBO (Bachelor's) degree in Nursing with a specialization as an IC Nurse and a relevant Master's (or are willing to pursue one).
Demonstrable experience with nursing research in or around clinical practice.
Knowledge of research skills, project-based working, and relevant laws and regulations.
An analytical eye, good writing skills, and a healthy dose of curiosity.
The ability to inspire colleagues and management and involve them in the power of research.
