The role
Do you want to enter the technical field, but still lack the experience to start working as an engineer? With the Engineering Traineeship, you will learn the basics of the engineering profession in six intensive weeks and then further develop yourself as a Junior Engineer. You start on January 4, 2027, so the new year begins immediately for you with a new career step.
What you'll do
During the Engineering Traineeship, you learn by doing. For the first six weeks, you will follow classroom training, e-learning, practical assignments, and cases. Internal specialists will guide you through their field of expertise, supplemented by guest lessons and external training for specific subjects.
You will discover how a telecom network is constructed and get to know the entire engineering process. From an initial new construction plan and technical design to execution, revision, and final delivery. You will learn to check technical information and translate plans into a design that colleagues can actually work with in the field.
Furthermore, it is not just about how you create a design. Above all, you will learn to understand why you make certain technical choices, what you need to take into account, and how you ensure that a design is truly feasible.
After six weeks, you will continue as a Junior Engineer. You will work on real projects, take on more and more tasks independently, and can rely on experienced colleagues during this process.
You will, among other things:
Learning how telecom networks are constructed and how the engineering process works.
Checking, reading, and translating technical information into executable designs.
Working on practical assignments and cases and applying your new knowledge immediately.
Learning how engineering relates to the construction, revision, and delivery of a network.
Working increasingly independently on projects as a Junior Engineer after the training period.
What you bring
Thoroughness is important to us. A (limited) screening will therefore be part of the selection procedure. Should you want to know more about this, please contact the recruiter managing this vacancy.
