What will you do as Real Estate & Facilities Manager in Wageningen?

You develop and monitor an integrated strategy for real estate, housing, and facility services. In doing so, you ensure cohesion between the domains and translate organizational goals into frameworks and priorities. Within your role, you are responsible, among other things, for the choices in our real estate portfolio and you make decisions regarding investments, renovations, and relocations. You naturally weigh those choices carefully based on substance, risk, finances, and goals.

In addition to strategy and decision-making, your role contains another important responsibility, namely identifying and translating opportunities for improvement for your team. You develop a vision for the application of data, digitalization, and AI and stimulate their use for data-driven management and optimal service delivery.

• Strategic management of real estate and facility services, with an eye on sustainable and future-proof work environments.

• Decision-making regarding the real estate portfolio, investments, and relocations, together with the real estate manager.

• Financial ownership: you manage based on cost-efficiency, predictability, and the balance between cost and quality.

• Team development: you position your team(s) and create an environment in which colleagues take ownership, collaborate, and further professionalize.

• Decision-making: you set up clear processes and make substantiated final decisions that you coordinate at the administrative level.

• Integration of sustainability, innovation, data, and AI in service delivery: you explore and implement innovative solutions that contribute to efficiency, sustainability, and employee satisfaction. In doing so, you safeguard compliance with laws and regulations.

• Realization of a welcoming, professional, and future-proof work environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors.

• Knowledge and experience: you have a university-level education and extensive experience in a strategic management role, preferably in real estate, facilities, or corporate real estate.

• Skills and abilities: you have experience with real estate strategy, investment decisions, and organizational management. Within a complex stakeholder environment, you ensure coordination and positioning.

• Leadership: as a leader, you seek connection, look strategically at the optimization of work environments, and act as the link between strategy, decision-making, and execution.
