The role

At TenneT, we work every day on the electricity grid of tomorrow. Our goal? A reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy system. The energy transition requires smart, decisive professionals. In Team Projects, we work on complex real estate and infrastructural projects that are essential to TenneT. Will you contribute to this as a Stakeholder Manager Construction Projects within the Real Estate & Facility Management department?

As Stakeholder Manager Construction Projects, you play a crucial role in realizing this ambition. You ensure that our critical real estate projects are realized with administrative support, timely permits, and social acceptance.

What you'll do

You work together with the Team Projects of Real Estate & Facility Management on a broad portfolio of data and control centers, offices, warehouses, and other business-critical locations. The portfolio includes dozens of projects, ranging from smaller projects under €1 million to large programs and real estate projects above €20 million, with a multi-year CAPEX forecast of over €1 billion. You are a member of one or more multidisciplinary (IPM) project teams and work together with the project manager, technical manager, project control manager, our other stakeholder manager, and internal and external parties.

As a Stakeholder Manager within the Real Estate program, you are responsible for managing the integrated stakeholder and environment surrounding TenneT's real estate and mission-critical projects. You operate at the intersection of stakeholder management, public rights, and private rights, and you represent projects in the external arena. In doing so, you direct the relationships with governments, competent authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders. You develop a project- and area-specific environmental approach in which stakeholder management, communication, spatial procedures, permits, and land issues come together integrally. You ensure timely administrative alignment and supported decision-making, so that interests, preconditions, and procedures are effectively translated into the execution of the project. Additionally, you actively drive transparent and effective communication with external stakeholders, support, and expectation management, and you manage reputation, permit, and execution risks. As a connecting link between the project, the environment, and the administration, you contribute to a predictable and successful realization of the projects.

  • Stakeholder Management
You are responsible for developing and implementing the project- and area-specific stakeholder approach. You translate the RF-wide communication strategy to the project and coordinate participation and environmental communication. You build and maintain relationships with governments, landowners, companies, and local residents, create support for projects, monitor administrative alignment, and coordinate participation and communication activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication and Administrative Alignment
Together with spokespersons and communication advisors, you direct the communication with the project environment and maintain relationships with governments and other stakeholders. You ensure administrative alignment and support, translate social and political developments into impact on the project, and safeguard the BLVC aspects (Accessibility, Livability, Safety, and Communication). With this, you contribute to a predictable and successful project realization.
  • Spatial Procedures and Permits
You guide complex spatial procedures and permit processes (planning, environment, nature), coordinate with competent authorities, and ensure timely decision-making. You monitor the connection to municipal and regional policy frameworks, assess spatial and environmental studies, and support the handling of views, appeals, and other spatial issues.
  • Private Law Agreements
You direct the securing of the necessary private law rights, including ownership, lease, building rights, and easements. You coordinate and support negotiations with landowners, developers, and users, and ensure that agreements made align with the project objectives, planning, and spatial development of the location.
  • Directing external specialists (environmental agencies, participation and permit consultants) and monitoring quality and compliance.

At TenneT, we look for professionals who contribute to an effective and future-proof project organization. We expect you to have the right experience and skills to make a valuable contribution to our team and our mission.

You are an environment-sensitive professional who can advise strategically while simultaneously safeguarding execution. You move smoothly between politics, administration, and operations and know how to connect interests to achieve results.

Pluses

TenneT offers you the chance to contribute to a sustainable energy future. Together with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, you will work on innovative solutions that make the energy transition possible. With us, you will get the space to develop your talent and work in an environment where your growth is central. We encourage initiative and give you the space to come up with new ideas.

Therefore, for full-time employment, we offer you:

  • A permanent contract with a two-month probationary period, based on 40 hours per week.
  • A salary in scale 8: €4276,- to €8443,- per month, in addition to 8% holiday allowance and also a 6% year-end bonus.
  • A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
