Do you have an electrical background and experience with NEN 3140? Do you want more responsibility in your work, but would prefer not to be out on the project site every day? For the Safety Office of VolkerRail, we are looking for a Low Voltage Operational Supervisor. In this role, you will ensure that our colleagues can work safely on rail installations throughout the Netherlands. A position with a lot of responsibility, variety, and impact on the safety of our projects.

The Low Voltage Operational Supervisor has an important role in the entire NEN3140 process. You are responsible for the safety and correctness of the work to be performed prior to and during the activities. In this regard, the Operational Supervisor, together with the Installation Supervisor, is responsible for the procedures used during the work.

A selection of your duties

• Providing NEN-3140 instructions and identifying risks;

• Supporting and advising Operational Supervisors, Work Preparers, Foremen, Technicians, competent persons, and sufficiently instructed persons;

• Drafting safety work plans;

• Assessing inspections and determining follow-up actions;

• Handover and securing of the installation after work has been completed.

In addition to the main responsibilities above, you instruct colleagues about hazards and measures, report special risks to the Installation Supervisor, and request substantiation for work performed under tension. You ensure timely planning and, upon completion, correctly hand over the installation, including a status report. This makes it a broad and responsible role with a strong focus on safety and coordination.

Your permanent workplace is one of our VolkerRail locations: Zaandam, Rotterdam, Zevenbergen, Dordrecht, Vianen, Wijk bij Duurstede, Apeldoorn, Deventer, or Almelo! Our projects and maintenance areas are spread across the entire Netherlands, so you will be active nationally.
