Do you want to start a career as an Underground Infrastructure Engineer and develop yourself into a fully qualified Engineer-A? For our Engineering department, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who wants to learn, grow, and contribute to the railway infrastructure of the Netherlands. In addition to a good salary, we offer plenty of development opportunities, active guidance from experienced colleagues, hybrid working, and no less than 43 days off per year. Ready to get your career moving? Then we would love to meet you.
As a Junior Underground Infrastructure Engineer, you will work on the design and elaboration of cable and pipeline routes along railways and at NS stations. You ensure that designs are feasible and comply with applicable requirements, guidelines, and regulations. Together with colleagues, you will work on smart, safe, and future-proof solutions for the railway infrastructure.
You do not need to have extensive experience within the railway sector yet. With the right guidance, training, and practical experience, you will be given all the space to develop yourself into an Engineer-A.
Within the project, you will be involved in, among other things:
• The design and elaboration of cable and pipeline routes in MicroStation;
• The collection and processing of project information, requirements, and regulations;
• Preparing designs for execution;
• Coordinating technical solutions with engineers, work preparers, and executors;
• Monitoring the progress and delivery milestones of your design activities;
• Processing digital input such as ground radar, LIDAR, GIS, and GPS data;
• Contributing to BIM projects within a fully digital design environment;
• Developing knowledge and skills towards an independent engineer role.
Working from our location in Vianen, you will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines. Thanks to this multidisciplinary collaboration, we realize integrally designed railway projects in which all technical systems connect optimally with one another.
• A completed MBO or HBO education, preferably in a technical field;
• Excellent command of the Dutch language;
• Interest in underground infrastructure, technology, and/or railway infrastructure;
• An independent, proactive, and eager-to-learn attitude;
• A sense of responsibility and the motivation to further develop yourself;
• Experience with drawing or designing is a plus, but not a requirement.
Do you already have several years of experience within the cable and pipeline infrastructure, construction, or railway sector? And do you already work with MicroStation according to ProRail guidelines? Even then, we would love to get in touch with you.
