High Voltage Installation Supervisor (IV-HV)

• Legal Responsibility & Safety: Acting as Installation and Work Supervisor (IV/WV) in accordance with NEN 3840 (HV) and NEN 3140 (LV). Drafting and enforcing safety instructions, work procedures, and emergency plans.
• Hands-on Maintenance (HV/LV): Independently performing preventive/corrective maintenance, measurements, and inspections on the complete HV and LV infrastructure (including transformers, motors, distributors, controls, and heaters).
• Switching Authority: Independently drafting, assessing, and physically executing complex switching programs at high and low voltage levels.
• Fault Analysis & Repair: Analyzing and directly resolving complex electrotechnical faults manually as the highest technical authority on the floor.
• Management & Authorization (Appointment Policy): Managing the appointment policy (IV/WV/VP/VOP) for personnel and third parties. Safely releasing work sites, performing inspections, and supervising contractors.
• Commissioning & Projects: Physically checking, testing, and commissioning new installations in accordance with applicable standards, safety, and quality requirements.

Diagnose, repair and maintain industrial equipment and machinery to ensure their optimal functionality, minimize downtime, and support overall operational efficiency.

Here, we produce green hydrogen on a large scale via electrolysis, powered directly by wind energy from offshore wind farms. The future of this project is firmly anchored through a long-term contract with a strategic customer. Via our extensive pipeline network, the hydrogen is distributed throughout the Benelux and Northern France to make heavy industry and mobility more sustainable.

What will you do as a High Voltage Installation Supervisor?

As a High Voltage Installation Supervisor (IV-HV), you bear the formal and legal ultimate responsibility for the safe and reliable management of all our high and medium voltage installations (including transformers, distribution equipment, and the coupling with the electrolyzers). Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations (NEN-EN 50110 and NEN 3840) at our new construction site at Maasvlakte 2 is your number one priority.

You play a crucial role in guaranteeing the continuity of hydrogen production. You monitor the safety culture and establish the frameworks under which work can be carried out safely.

• Profile: Decisive and strong in communication with a great sense of responsibility. Stands firm and always guarantees a safe way of working, even under operational pressure.
• Education: A completed HBO or MBO level 4 education in the direction of Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a similar relevant study.
• Work Experience: Extensive/senior work experience in the management, operation, or maintenance of high-voltage installations within a complex process or petrochemical industry or the energy sector.
• Certification & Knowledge:
  • Demonstrably skilled as an Installation Supervisor (IV) High Voltage in accordance with NEN 3840 / NEN-EN 50110 (or the willingness/competence to receive this appointment immediately).
  • Sound substantive knowledge of high-voltage switching installations, transformers, protection relations, grid integration, and grounding.
  • Knowledge of NEN 3140 (Low Voltage) and ATEX (explosion safety) is a plus.
• Contractor Management: Experience with managing external high-voltage firms and specialized maintenance parties.
• Languages: Excellent Dutch (spoken and written), basic English (reading technical documentation).
