Production Engineer in the Netherlands

The role

As a Production Engineer at VDL Assembly, you will guide the projects you work on together with the project leader. You will establish the processing steps and routing in the production process, direct the purchasing department, and ensure that projects are realized within the agreed delivery times and objectives. You will contribute ideas regarding manufacturability and contribute to professional technical solutions (co-engineering).

You communicate in a structured and purposeful manner with the parties involved, where coordination, control, and evaluation of time, quality, and budget form the basis for your actions.

• Performing a process FMEA;
• Creating assembly structures;
• Communicating constructively with a customer focus;
• The controlled implementation of product changes in the production process;
• Determining priorities based on the production planning;
• Identifying and solving operational problems and discussing these with the project leader;
• Proposing process and product improvements to customers;
• Continuously improving production methods and processing times VC/NC.

• You possess at least an MBO level of working and thinking, obtained through a technical education or demonstrable work experience;
• You are technically minded, work accurately, and strictly follow work procedures;
• You know how to implement change processes;
• You have the skill to perform (complex) calculations;
• You are accurate and solution-oriented and can work both independently and in a team;
• You can communicate excellently with various departments within the organization.
• You always continue to perform effectively under time pressure and in the face of setbacks.
• You are proficient in both the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
