Requirements
What we're looking for
- HBO or WO education.
- At least 5 years of experience within cybersecurity.
- Experience as a Product Owner and extensive experience with stakeholder management.
- Experience in leading teams and projects in the cybersecurity domain.
- Experience with both agile working and traditional project management.
- Knowledge of and/or certifications in ISO27001, NIS2, TISAX, and CRA.
- Good command of the Dutch (C2) and English languages.

The role
The role
As a Senior Information Security Officer, you are responsible for translating laws and regulations, such as the Cybersecurity Act (Cbw, NIS2) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and international standards, such as ISO27001 and TISAX, into effective policies and concrete measures for the VDL Group. In this way, you contribute to improving security awareness within all VDL companies. You also ensure the daily management of the Security Office Team based on an agile approach. You answer policy questions, advise where necessary, and guide companies in complying with laws, regulations, and international standards. You work closely with direct colleagues from the Security Office and colleagues within ICT. Your tasks include the Governance, Risk, and Compliance domain (GRC), including:
What you'll do
- Performing risk analyses and improving, managing, and monitoring the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Guiding all VDL companies through certifications such as ISO27001, TISAX, and CRA.
- Translating complex topics, such as the Cybersecurity Act (Cbw, NIS2) and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), into concrete steps within VDL Group.
- Answering policy-related issues.
- Working within an agile approach, in close cooperation with all colleagues.
Your strength
As a Senior Information Security Officer, you are communicatively strong, connecting, and know how to translate policy and goals into actionable plans. In addition to your extensive substantive knowledge, you have experience in managing a team. You are entrepreneurial, think in solutions, and love collaborating in a dynamic environment.
