You possess strong analytical skills, perseverance, and a proactive learning attitude. Accuracy, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential in this role. You are able to work independently and dare to ask questions when necessary.
In addition, we request:
You are following a degree in Finance & Control or the HAS degree in Business Administration;
You have an affinity for and interest in financial control activities;
You have an affinity for the agricultural sector;
You are motivated to learn and to apply the knowledge you have acquired in practice.
With us, you may or rather must ‘just do it’. Saying what you do and doing what you say, that is how we work at Van Oers. We communicate clearly and honestly; we don't blow our own trumpet. Together with colleagues, partners, and clients, we put our shoulders to the wheel.
Furthermore, we offer:
Tax-free travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometer;
Laptop and mobile phone;
Personal guidance and training by experienced mentors;
An informal and inclusive company culture in which your voice is heard and initiative is valued.
Within the agricultural sector at Van Oers, you stand alongside the entrepreneur and your colleagues and, where possible, you support a wide range of activities. This gives you insight into what is happening on the farm and in the market, and you learn how figures are translated into practical insights that help agricultural entrepreneurs move forward.
During your graduation internship, you will become acquainted with current developments, laws and regulations, and specific sector knowledge within agricultural practice. You will learn from experienced colleagues and gain valuable practical experience that will help you in your studies and your future career.
You will join a dedicated team of approximately 15 colleagues with a heart for the agricultural sector, where sharing knowledge is a matter of course and where there is care for one another. Will you take your advantage and do you want to provide added value with your graduation assignment? Just do it: start as a Graduate Intern Finance & Control Agro.
During this graduation internship, you will work independently on a specific issue within Finance & Control that can be determined in consultation with our team. This could, for example, involve optimizing financial processes, improving internal controls, or researching new regulations and their impact on business operations.
A glimpse of your tasks:
You will independently conduct research into the chosen issue;
You will analyze data and business processes to arrive at insights and recommendations;
You will write a detailed report with concrete points for improvement and advice.
