Within our audit practice, as an Audit Manager, you are not only responsible for high-quality audits, but you also make an important contribution to the further development of our audit practice. Drawing from your experience, you contribute ideas regarding technical developments, quality improvements, and strategic issues that contribute to the growth and future-proofing of the audit practice within Van Oers.

As an Audit Manager, you are responsible for your own client portfolio and you manage multiple audit teams. You are the first point of contact for complex issues, monitor the quality of our services, and ensure that assignments are carried out efficiently and successfully. In doing so, you work closely with the external accountant, clients, and colleagues within the audit practice.

A glimpse of your tasks:

• In consultation with the external accountant, you determine the audit approach for audit assignments;

• You ensure a qualitative execution of audit assignments within planning and budget, including financial engagement management;

• You support seniors and supervisors with complex audit work and technical issues;

• You perform reviews on draft annual accounts and assess the quality of audit files;

• You identify important discussion points for the accountant's report and discuss the annual accounts with the external accountant;

• You communicate proactively about the progress of audit assignments to the external accountant and other involved stakeholders;

• You are responsible for work in the completion phase of assignments, including tax reconciliation, second readings, and file completion;

• You guide experienced colleagues in both their executing and managing roles and actively contribute to their development;

• You maintain contacts with strategic clients and act as a sparring partner for complex audit issues;

• You play an active role in the further development of our audit practice, both technically and strategically.

You are a strong interlocutor for clients, colleagues, and accountants. You are entrepreneurial, quality-oriented, and like to take initiative. You combine technical expertise with coaching leadership and know how to bring people along in change and development. You switch easily between strategic issues, client interests, and the daily management of assignments.
