The role

Are you an experienced professional within the automotive industry and do you get energy from organizing, managing, and improving a workshop? Do you know how to connect people and ensure that planning, quality, and progress align well? Then we are looking for you!

What you'll do

For our Van Mossel Volkswagen branch in Waalwijk, we are looking for a Workshop Manager. In this role, you are ultimately responsible for the overall management and organization of the workshop. You provide structure, oversight, and good cooperation within the team and with the various departments.

You keep a sharp eye on the planning, coordinate daily activities, and ensure that the right priorities are set. In doing so, you never lose sight of quality and efficiency. You are an important connecting link between the workshop, Sales, and Aftersales, and you ensure that everyone is well informed about the progress and any potential bottlenecks.

Good cooperation is central to your role. You ensure a working environment in which colleagues know how to find each other, take responsibility, and work together toward the best result.

What will you do?

Your duties and responsibilities include, among others:

  • Handling and monitoring the planning in collaboration with Sales and Aftersales;

  • Coordinating daily activities and priorities within the workshop;

  • Bearing ultimate responsibility for the overall workshop organization and progress;

  • Monitoring the quality, efficiency, and progress of the work;

  • Coordinating leave and absenteeism within the team;

  • Ensuring good cooperation and communication within the workshop and with other departments;

  • Drafting and monitoring a training plan for current staff, focused on development, knowledge, and broad employability;

  • Supporting, guiding, and stimulating the team to get the best out of themselves.

Who are you?

You are an experienced and committed professional who maintains oversight and knows how to manage people in a pleasant and clear manner. You find it important that processes are well organized, but you also understand that a successful workshop stands or falls with good cooperation and communication.

You are decisive, enjoy taking action, and know when to adjust course. At the same time, you give employees the space to take responsibility and develop further. You have an eye for both the daily operation and the long-term development of the workshop.

Moreover, you can count on:

  • A salary that matches your experience and responsibilities;

  • Travel allowance and 24 vacation days per year;

  • Pension scheme and 8% holiday allowance;

  • Possibility of a bicycle lease plan and company discount on your gym membership;
