A full-time position for 40 hours per week;
A full-time salary of € 3,032 gross per period based on 40 hours, which is € 3,285 gross per month. Depending on your experience;
Travel allowance for commuting at € 0.25 per kilometer.
A good pension scheme according to the construction & infra CAO;
48 vacation days, of which you save a portion in the Time Savings Fund. You can choose yourself: take nice time off or have the days paid out for extra money;
An enjoyable, varied job with all the freedom to develop yourself;
Growth opportunities within the entire VolkerWessels group
Workshop Employee
Before a road is closed, a diversion is placed, or a road project can start, everything must be ready. The right traffic signs, the right materials, and everything complete at the right moment. As a Workshop Employee at KWS Verkeer & Mobiliteit, you ensure that happens.
You are the pivot between preparation and execution. From our warehouse in Dordrecht, you prepare traffic signs, collect materials for projects, and ensure that our field service can get to work immediately. Together with your colleagues, you contribute every day to safe roadworks.
Your job
Your duties are varied and include, among other things:
Providing traffic signs with the correct decals;
Removing old decals and cleaning traffic signs;
Checking traffic signs for quality and damage;
Collecting orders and preparing materials for projects;
Preparing traffic signs and materials per project;
Loading, unloading, and moving materials on the site;
Supporting urgent assignments when a project requires it;
Ensuring a neat, safe, and organized working environment.
No two days are the same. Sometimes you work according to plan and sometimes quick changes must be made because a traffic measure is unexpectedly needed. It is precisely that variety that makes the work enjoyable.
Your qualities
You feel at home in a practical working environment and enjoy being physically active. You love putting your shoulder to the wheel together with colleagues and don't find it a problem if quick changes are needed from time to time.
You are accurate, enjoy rolling up your sleeves, and ensure that materials are complete and ready on time. You see work that needs to be done, take it on, and remain calm when an urgent assignment comes up in between.
In addition, you possess the following characteristics:
You are fit and enjoy physical work;
You work neatly and carefully;
You are a true team player;
You can work independently when necessary;
You are flexible and enjoy variety;
You have a proactive work attitude.
Experience in a logistics, warehouse, or production environment is a plus, but not a requirement;
A practical attitude and the motivation to learn the trade;
Proficiency in the Dutch language;
A driving license B is handy, as the location is limited in accessibility by public transport.

About KWS Rotterdam-Zwijndrecht
Big in the region, connected to each other. KWS Infra Rotterdam-Zwijndrecht counts over 200 colleagues. A close-knit team in which people know each other, strengthen each other, and want to move forward together. Our working area is the province of Zuid-Holland: the region where many of our colleagues live, where we know our customers well, and where we are visible every day.
That regional connection is an important strength. We know what is happening, move along with a changing environment, and constantly look for ways to do our work smarter, more sustainably, and better. With a turnover of approximately 160 million euros per year, clear ambitions in the field of sustainability, and a wide range of projects, we are a leading infra partner in the region.
From the city to the port and from large infrastructural developments to works closer to home. In doing so, we are proud of the projects we realize together. For example, we work on the Leidse Ring Noord, provide all the maintenance in the Hoeksche Waard and IJsselmonde, and make the city center of Rotterdam a little more beautiful with Stadse Werken.
But ultimately, it is not just about the projects. It is the people who make them possible together. By sharing knowledge, helping each other, and taking a step forward every day, we build not only the infrastructure of Zuid-Holland, but also a strong branch in which we make a difference together.
