Planner / Work Preparer Service and Maintenance

Are you a planner/work preparer who loves to organize, think ahead, and maintain an overview?

At Bijlstra Installaties in Dokkum, we are looking for a Planner/Work Preparer Service and Maintenance. In this versatile role, you will ensure that service and maintenance activities are properly scheduled, prepared, and administratively handled, so that our technicians can head out efficiently and customers are well assisted.

You are the connecting link between the customer, technicians, and the organization. You keep a sharp eye on the planning, prepare tasks and necessary materials, process work orders and project administration, and ensure that maintenance contracts, hours, and necessary information are properly maintained.

You really don't need to know everything already. Do you have a technical background, do you work in a structured manner, and do you get energy from planning and organizing? Then we would love to teach you the rest.

As a Planner/Work Preparer, you are an important link. You ensure that tasks are logically scheduled, well prepared, and administratively neatly handled. Additionally, you are a first point of contact for customers and technicians.

Your duties include

• Scheduling and coordinating service and maintenance activities;

• Preparing small service and maintenance assignments and ensuring technicians can head out with the correct information and materials;

• Planning breakdown services and holiday coverage;

• First-line telephone for service and maintenance and answering customer questions;

• Invoicing projects and work orders;

• Processing delivery notes and maintaining the associated administration;

• Weekly creation of timesheets and checking and booking hours;

• Managing and offering maintenance contracts;

• Registering warranties on boilers;

• Managing the mailboxes for sales and purchasing;

• Coordinating with customers, technicians, suppliers, and colleagues regarding planning and execution;

• Adjusting the planning in case of breakdowns, urgent jobs, or other changes;

• Identifying where planning, work preparation, and administrative processes can be organized more smartly and efficiently.

In short: you ensure that the planning is correct, the work is well prepared, and the administration surrounding service and maintenance is in order.

We are primarily looking for someone who combines technical insight with an overview, organizational talent, and a sense for planning.

Ideally, you have:

• MBO work and thinking level, preferably in a technical direction;

• Experience in installation technology, planning, work preparation, service, or another technical environment;

• A practical and structured way of working;

• The ability to set priorities and switch quickly when the planning changes;

• Good communication skills;

• A customer-oriented and collegial attitude.

Experience with planning or ERP systems is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. We find it more important that you have technical insight, maintain an overview, take responsibility, and are willing to learn.
