Safety Engineering Lecturer & Advisor

• A salary of € 4,000.00 to € 6,000.00 gross per month (based on 40 hours, depending on experience and diploma).

As a safety engineer with several years of relevant work experience, you know how important it is to transfer practical knowledge. Do you get energy from guiding people, explaining complex issues, and seeing future safety engineers grow? Then we at Apply have a great next step for you.

In this position, the emphasis lies on teaching: approximately 60% of your activities revolve around teaching, student guidance, and monitoring the quality of the training program. For the remaining 30%, you apply your expertise to safety engineering advisory assignments. This allows you to stay connected to practice and bring current experiences into the classroom.

Two roles, one great combination. You train the safety engineers of tomorrow.

As a lecturer, you will be a familiar face within our Operational Safety Engineering (OVK), Intermediate Safety Engineering (MVK) and, depending on your background, Higher Safety Engineering (HVK) programs. You will provide practice-oriented lessons at training locations including Bergen op Zoom, Dordrecht, and Den Bosch. You help students not only understand the theory, but especially how to apply it in their daily work.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Providing and further developing lessons and teaching materials.

• Guiding and coaching students during their training and thesis process.

• Assessing thesis proposals and conducting and grading tests.

• Monitoring and improving the substantive quality, particularly of the MVK program.

• Collaborating with fellow lecturers to keep the education current, relevant, and attractive.

In addition to teaching, you advise organizations on various safety issues. Think of drafting and implementing RI&E's (Risk Inventory and Evaluation), advising on safety policy and safety culture, guiding improvement processes, management systems, and internal audits. You work for clients in, among others, industry, logistics, production, energy, waste processing, and (semi-)government.
