How do you keep the Netherlands moving?

GigaNet is the program through which TenneT modernizes and future-proofs its existing telecom infrastructure, replacing TenneT's existing telecom network with a future-proof MPLS network. As Site Manager, you are the connecting link between project, operations, and execution. You are the central point of contact on location and ensure that activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the schedule. This role combines technical content, operational coordination, and stakeholder management in an environment where reliability and safety always come first.

As Site Manager , you are responsible for the safe and effective realization of activities at various project locations within GigaNet, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. You will join the GigaNet Project Team, consisting of 7 colleagues.

Additionally, you are responsible for, among other things:

• Defining and realizing the scope, objectives, and results of your sub-projects. You translate project plans into an executable approach per location and assess designs, work packages, and execution plans for practical feasibility.
• The functional management and coordination of project employees and executing partners. You ensure good cooperation between telecom specialists, station managers, safety officers, contractors, and other involved disciplines.
• Managing daily project execution. You monitor planning, quality, risks, and dependencies and ensure that activities are carried out within the agreed scope and constraints.
• Monitoring progress and performance. You identify deviations, analyze technical and operational issues, and coordinate appropriate measures with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
• Actively managing stakeholders. You maintain contact with internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment between all parties involved during execution.
• Safeguarding safety and project standards. You oversee compliance with safety regulations, project standards, and quality agreements and create the conditions for safe execution of the activities.

That is why we ask of you:

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Technical Business Administration, or a similar technical field.
• Demonstrable experience with the execution and coordination of technical infrastructure, telecom, or energy projects.
• Knowledge of and experience with telecom installations and the relevant interfaces with control, security, and auxiliary power installations.
• Knowledge of and experience with UAV-GC contracts and System-Oriented Contract Management (SCB) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel nationally to project locations.
• Professional command of the Dutch and English languages.
