As a skilled worker for temporary traffic measures at Strukton, you ensure that colleagues, road users, and local residents can move safely past or through worksites. You bring plans to life on the road: from diversions and signage to temporary lanes and traffic facilities. In doing so, you are an important link in projects that keep the Netherlands accessible.
You usually work in a small team or with a fixed colleague. Together you prepare the job, check the equipment, and ensure that the traffic situation on-site matches what was designed on paper. You maintain an overview, think along on location, and intervene when safety or clarity demands it.
At Strukton, you work on projects where accessibility, safety, and collaboration come together. You are part of an organization that is accustomed to organizing complex outdoor activities well. On the road, you rely on your colleagues, short lines of communication, and clear communication.
You will be working within HOKA, a general partnership (VOF) and collaboration between BAM Infra and Strukton Civiel Nederland: two leading parties within Dutch infrastructure. Within this collaboration, we bundle knowledge, experience, and impact to organize traffic measures more smartly, safely, and efficiently.
You start from the base location, where you collect, load, and check equipment. After that, you head out to projects in the region and sometimes beyond. One shift you are working on a planned traffic diversion, the next time you are helping with an emergency adjustment or repair work. It is precisely that variation that makes the work dynamic.
In this position, you are responsible for the placement, adjustment, inspection, and removal of temporary traffic measures. Think of signage, diversions, cones, barriers, message boards, traffic light controllers (VRI), and other facilities needed to allow works to proceed safely. You work according to drawings and planning, but also know how to act practically if the situation on-site is slightly different than expected.
Many activities take place at times when traffic is less heavy. Therefore, you also work in the evening, at night, or on the weekend. This requires flexibility, but also provides variety and independence. Strukton provides good equipment, clear work agreements, and colleagues who help each other to carry out every job safely and professionally.
You feel at home in practical outdoor work. You see what needs to be done, roll up your sleeves, and take safety seriously. Because you regularly work along or on the road, you remain alert and communicate clearly with your colleagues. You are reliable, flexible, and find it no problem to work at varying times.
Furthermore, you have:
