The role

Do you have a background in civil engineering, experience with maintenance projects, and are you strong at coordinating various technical disciplines? Then we are looking for you!

What you'll do

As a Construction Coordinator, you will work on diverse construction and technical maintenance projects at our location in Venlo. One day you are coordinating the schedule for a roof renovation with a contractor, the next day you are assessing what work is needed for painting or garden maintenance. For larger projects, you ensure that activities within, among others, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and instrumentation and control engineering, align well with each other. Even when an unexpected technical problem arises, you maintain an overview and switch quickly with the right colleagues and suppliers. In this way, you ensure that everything runs smoothly in terms of planning, safety, and quality.

Your main tasks are

  • Coordinating multidisciplinary new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects in operational areas, for example during a renovation where construction work and technical installations are handled simultaneously, including coordination with contractors and suppliers
  • Preparing projects and assessing schedules and material flows, so that for example materials are available on time and activities do not interfere with each other
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and organizing work permits, for example when external technicians or contractors perform work on site
  • Monitoring budgets, deadlines, and quality standards and making timely adjustments if a delivery is delayed or work proceeds differently than planned

Who you will work with

You will join a close-knit team with a nice mix of junior, medior, and senior colleagues, who are there for one another and are willing to help each other if necessary. They also regularly meet outside of work, for example during a dinner or another joint activity.

In addition, you will have contact with departments such as R&D, Manufacturing, and site managers. You will communicate directly with external suppliers and specialists in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and instrumentation and control engineering.

You are an organizationally strong professional with a practical attitude. You switch easily between different parties and technical disciplines and maintain an overview.
