Road Visual Inspector

Do you enjoy working outdoors and conducting research into various infrastructural facilities in public spaces, particularly roads, but also traffic signs, street furniture, artworks, etc.? Then we are looking for you. Unihorn offers an exciting career as an Inspector at its Capelle aan den IJssel location for at least 32 hours per week. 

The duties consist of performing inventories, visual inspections of road surfaces, street furniture, and potentially signage, and (contributing to) the preparation of maintenance and budget plans. The work takes place primarily while walking, cycling, or driving. It is therefore important that you can walk and/or cycle long distances. 

Strengthening our team does not happen just like that, of course. For our Inspector, we require: 

• MTS Civil Engineering (Road and Water) or comparable based on experience; 
• knowledge of/experience with performing inventories and visual inspections on roads (in accordance with CROW methodology) or the willingness to follow training for this purpose; 
• knowledge of/experience with automated management systems, spreadsheets, etc.; 
• possession of a Category B driver's license; 
• willingness to follow (internal) training in related fields; 
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
