In the monumental Raadhuis in Soest, you will make a difference for clients as a residential support worker. A varied, creative job in which your ideas are truly welcome. Do you want to work at a special location? The Raadhuis is a beautiful, monumental building where a warm and creative atmosphere is central. Here, you guide and support clients in their daily lives and personal goals. No two days are the same! You help with practical matters such as groceries, cooking, or making appointments. You also offer a listening ear during a walk or guide a creative activity. Creativity is encouraged at this location. For example, there is a swimming activity for clients every Tuesday, creative afternoons are organized, and karaoke nights are regularly on the program. Do you have a fun idea of your own? Your input is more than welcome. In addition to individual guidance, you also play a role in group guidance. You are present during communal meal and coffee moments and ensure structure and a pleasant atmosphere. Together with your colleagues, you offer clients a safe and stimulating environment. You work in a small, enthusiastic team with a diverse target group and varying shifts (early, late, and on weekends). Occasionally, you will also work a sleep shift.
Residential support worker Daan loves to talk about his day:
"In my work as a residential support worker, no two shifts are the same. One day I am drinking coffee and taking a walk with residents, and the next day I am making a song together with a resident that we then record immediately. Additionally, I am busy with tasks regarding, for example, the quality of care or internship/BBL supervision. The variety in activities and in types of shifts appeals to me greatly. This keeps me challenged and allows me to continue conveying my enthusiasm to our residents."
You will be working at the Het Raadhuis location in Soest. The target group at this location consists of people with mental vulnerabilities, addiction issues, and potentially a judicial background (TBS, RM). This location offers individual protected living and guidance to clients in a group setting. There are 3 different groups that differ in the degree of structure and guidance provided. Clients can rely on guidance 24 hours a day.
