As a social worker, you guide and support young adults on their way to living as independently as possible. The bond of trust you build with them forms the basis of your work. Through sincere attention, involvement, and professional guidance, you help them take steps in their development. You combine daily group guidance with individual support for a number of young adults. Together, you set goals and work on the implementation of the personal guidance plan. You stimulate, motivate, and activate them to get the best out of themselves. As a social worker, you provide support in various areas of life, such as housing, finances and administration, and work and education. Additionally, you identify changes or complex issues in a timely manner and respond to them proactively. You ensure a safe and pleasant living environment within the group, guide the mutual interactions between residents, and supervise medication administration. You also ensure the correct recording of agreements, progress, and reports. You work in rotating shifts (day, evening, and occasionally on weekends) between 08:00 and 23:00. This is a combined role in which you work as both a Personal Guide and a Housing Guide. Therefore, you are expected to be willing to pursue a higher professional education (hbo) degree.

The location on Galenstraat in Amersfoort offers sheltered housing and reception to young adults aged 18 to 27 with psychiatric vulnerabilities and/or social support needs. Based on the Social Support Act (Wmo), we offer a safe living environment and appropriate guidance, aimed at increasing the self-reliance, participation, and independence of residents. We create peace and stability so that they can work on their recovery and their place in society.

The location consists of two group homes with a total of eight sheltered living spaces, seven startup spaces, and one emergency bed. Residents have their own sitting/sleeping room and share the communal facilities. The residential location is situated in a multicultural neighborhood, close to shops, public transport, sports facilities, and opportunities for daytime activities.

The team consists of a total of eleven colleagues, working in the roles of social worker (youth coach), night watch, and household staff. It is a small and warm team that is best described as open, honest, direct, and loyal. Humor, mutual support, and room for personal input are important values within the team.

• A salary between € 3,261.00 and € 4,779.00 based on 36 hours (CAO Social Work, FWG 7).
