What we're looking for

Law Firm School
During your internship period, you will get busy with practical work, office duties, and often a new private life in a new environment. The intensive LFS training and the Bar Association's Professional Training for Lawyers are added on top of that. To make this combination a success, a solid academic foundation is indispensable. It is advisable to have followed at least these subjects, if possible with a corresponding European dimension: Property Law, Private International Law, Corporate Law, Civil Procedural Law, Administrative Law, Administrative Procedural Law, Insolvency Law. Education & certifications

Professional Training for Lawyers
The Professional Training for Lawyers and the LFS last three years and run in parallel. Much attention is paid to both cognitive subjects and skills. As a trainee lawyer, you follow the Civil Law learning track, with the Administrative Law minor. In addition, the LFS mandates two more subjects in the first year, namely Securities Law and Tax Law. As a lawyer at Stibbe, you are right in the middle of the action. This means collaborating with many different people and working on diverse matters. During your trainee lawyer internship, you will get to know different types of practice: you advise, litigate, and negotiate.

You apply specifically for the practice group(s) of your choice. You will start at this practice group as a trainee lawyer. You can apply for the following practice groups:

What you'll do

During your first three years at Stibbe, you will work within two different areas of law. Between 25 and 29 months after your start as a trainee lawyer, you will switch to another practice group for a period of one year. You can channel all your energy and legal creativity!

Litigate? Advise? Or negotiate?
