Senior Project Engineer

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree in electrical engineering or energy technology.

• At least seven years of experience with engineering, preferably within high-voltage installations.

• Demonstrable experience in directing and supervising engineering teams.

• You have excellent command of the Dutch language (at least C1 level).

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly what to expect:

• A gross monthly salary of up to €8,500 (based on 40 hours), 24.5 vacation days, and pension accrual with ABP, where we pay 70% of the premium.

• On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (including 8% holiday allowance). You choose what to do with the budget: for example, extra salary or (up to max. 35.5) vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.

• An annual €700 (gross) to spend on your own energy, for example, for your sports membership or your new sportswear.

• Modern home working facilities and a home working allowance of €2.40 per day. At Stedin, we work 50% from home and 50% in the office.

As a senior project engineer, you translate functional designs into executable technical solutions for challenging high-voltage projects. You ensure that plans are not only correct on paper but also work in practice. You do this according to the systems engineering methodology. In doing so, you make a concrete contribution to the energy transition and the future of the Dutch electricity grid.

A day as a senior project engineer might look like this:

• You independently prepare engineering packages, perform grid calculations, and work out technical specifications.

• You translate functional designs into practical engineering solutions that are well-executable on location.

• You participate in consultations with project leaders, lead engineers, and specialists from disciplines such as telecom, civil engineering, and grid automation.

• You direct detail engineers and actively share your knowledge within the team.

• You identify bottlenecks, report findings back, and keep a close eye on the progress of your activities.
